Kick-off meeting represents a time and place, where all project partner teams meet for the first time. On the Kick-off meeting the basic programme for Modules 2 and 3 will be developed, along with strategies for communication, dissemination, monitoring and evaluation. The main programme consists of two workshops: one for managers and one for artist-trainers, where all the planned project phases and milestones will be covered.

Kick-off meeting

Pionirski dom – Centre for Youth Culture, Komenskega 9, LjubljanaThe Kick-off meeting in Ljubljana was the first meeting where all the project teams of Young Theatre on the Move project met for the first time. All teams consisted of a Project Manager, Project Assistant and four Artist trainers. The Slovenian team was enlarged by our General Manager, Financial Manager and PR manager. First day of the Kick-off meeting was in the spirit of greeting, to get to know each other, introducing all the partners and sharing our visions and overview of our work. The programme of the Kick-off meeting was planned in the way that some parts were for all the participants and some were divided into two groups (managerial and practical – artistical).
During the Kick-off meeting the artist trainers reworked and experienced a few movement games or tasks that concern basics of the movement, emotional states, sensory awareness and the body storytelling. The artist trainer’s team decided that the term we are all going to use throughout the project is Creative Movement. They worked in a very organic way, each proposing one exercise that could fit into the YTOM programme. They also made a sketch for the handbook that will introduce Young Theatre on the Move programme to the target groups and interested general public and will for that purpose be published on this web-page.

The managerial team went through all the important documents, rules and financial agreements and obligations and also participated at the presentation of the practical part of the programme, presented by the artist trainers. Since the best knowledge is embodied knowledge, the managerial team also actively participated in the workshop together with artists.
